Exploring Telework Strategies for Virginia

Study & Results Provided by the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)

In March of 2020, state agencies across the nation were forced to make an abrupt transition to remote work in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the public health crisis recedes organizations are facing the decision of who needs to be in person, how often, and how to best utilize their commercial real estate holdings. In order to assess attitudes towards remote work, the Virginia Department of General Services (DGS) engaged the help of a Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Master of Public Administration (MPA) team to survey and interview employees and provide a series of recommendations for Virginia state agencies. The results of their findings will be provided during this event.
